Glyn Derw High school is a Cardiff County co-educational secondary school set on the edge of Trelai parkland and woodland in the southern part of Ely. It serves the communities of Caerau and Ely. The school has a long history and in 1996 celebrated its silver jubilee. The school concentrates its energies into the compulsory years of schooling up to 16. Strong links exist between the school and other post 16 establishments.
