We have fallen in love with this
show all over again so we have revived it from a dusty shed , brushed off
the cobwebs and found a masterpeice needing only a little restoration work
. The issues still remain and the show still has relevance . Book it and see
a performance of exquisite shadow puppets with an original sound track composed
by Adrian Wagner. Manifiesto de la Selva was originally developed in
support of rubber tapper, the late Chico Mendes, who was murdered for his
efforts to save the Brazilian rain forest from destruction by expansionist
cattle ranchers. The story of the rain forest brought into the light. A special
production has been developed from the original for the National Eisteddfod
98 in response to the continuing threat the natural world faces. This includes
poetic commentary in Welsh performed by Carol Byrne Jones.
