Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship (ESDGC)

Small World Theatre has produced performances and workshops focusing on a range of sustainable development and social issues since 1979. Our experience in Arts and Culture for Development work in Africa, Asia and the Middle East has demonstrated how important it is for the future that young people understand and act positively in their role as global citizens.

Cardigan Skatepark

Small World is working with a group of Cardigan Skatepark users and young people to design a shelter for the site. There are also opportunities for youth workers and community artists to participate and gain hands on experience, working on a construction project with young people who are NEET.

diversity training

Small World Theatre were part of six European organisations, learning collaboration about creativity and diversity, SWT being the UK partner.  The organisations worked together to develop an approach to creating a workshop in Diversity Training.  The process was experienced based, process-oriented and context sensitive. The final results are published below.

strawberry smoothie maker

Many of Small World Theatre’s projects are linked to food and culture. Our bicycle powered smoothie maker is a giant strawberry attached to a bike trailer and it is one of the ways to promote a healthy lifestyle at an event.

Play Days

Help build healthier and happier lives in your communities.  Small World Theatre has a Play Team, staff who are trained and experienced in running open access play schemes.  These schemes aim to benefit communities, engage children in play and further their development.
