A new project Small World Theatre and Theatr Fforwm Cymru are running in partnership with Swansea Metropolitan University.  We are running an Art Engagement Training programme with our partners, targeted at practitioners who work with young people who are ‘NEET’ (not in education, employment or training), or who are identified as being ‘at risk of becoming NEET’.

The course is free thanks to ‘Reach the Heights’ funding by The Arts Council of Wales and consists of 6 days training based at the Townhill Campus, Swansea Metropolitan University. The four courses run until July and although some work has begun, there are places available.

There are 3 days of creative workshops with Small World Theatre, and 3 days Forum Theatre and Emotional Intelligence Training with Theatr Fforwm Cymru. There is also a research element to the project, whereby participants are invited to take part in discussion groups during and after training, to look at how effective it has been and the impact on the working practice of the participants.
