FEBRUARY 18 - 19 - 20 - 21 2009
"Winter stories" Was a Small World Theatre Community Production. We worked with local groups such as the Cardigan Youth Theatre, the Llandysul stroke association group, members of the community that have been part of other projects, professional actors and vocal performers as well as musicians and technicians.
The background
After the massive tectonic shift of 2082 the survivors eke out an existence in a globally warmed environment . New ways of living are devised to suit a hugely transformed landscape where once there was sea there is a desert.
New clans are formed as people gather from the scattered remnants of former continents. Life is lived on the edge. People scavenge from the past barely finding time to remember bygone years. On special occasions they tell stories of past glories and of a long forgotten thing called WINTER.
Signs and portents appear in the sky, a mysterious stranger arrives and an unacustommed chill underlies all communications.
What is on the horizon ? What will the wind bring ? Can we change what has been saved on disk ?
Performance times were as follows
Feb.18 - 7.30pm......Feb. 19 - 7.30pm........Feb. 20 - 7.30pm..........Feb .21 - 7.30pm
The show was wonderfully recieved with sell out performances
