Mondays
Youth Aerial.
Improvers
Age 11-15, 16:15 - 17:45
Sessions are £15 each but must be booked in a term or half-term block in advance.
A mixed aerial class focusing on different apparatus each week covering trapeze, rope/silks and sling/hammock across the term. The students will learn circus-specific warmups, exercises and short sequences in the air. In a safe and relaxed environment, we will also look at movement and performance quality.
It is normally invitation-only from existing SBB youth aerial students. However, we also welcome enquiries from other young aerialists with some experiences in both vertical and bar apparatus.

Youth Aerial.
Experienced
Age 11-15, 18:00 - 19:30
Sessions are £15 each but must be booked in a term or half-term block in advance.
Our flagship young peoples’ class. With a focus on multiple aerial disciplines – including trapeze, rope/silks and sling/hammock – we also encourage our students to work creatively in the air; finding their own style within circus, whilst progressing in skill level.
We ask students to work in a buddy pair for the term, sharing a piece of apparatus with just one other person.
It is normally invitation-only from existing SBB youth aerial students. However, we also welcome enquiries from other experienced young aerialists with a solid foundation in both vertical and bar apparatus.
Adult Aerial.
Improvers
Age 16+, 19:30 - 21:00
Sessions are £15 each but must be booked in a term or half-term block in advance.
This class pushes our adult students past the “moves” and into a space where individuality is celebrated. Our students work on technique, line and advancing their skill set, over a broad range of apparatus.
We will consider people who have aerial circus experience across vertical (rope/silks) and bar (trapeze/hoop) apparatus. Please email the SBB team admin@smallworld.org.uk to enquire.
Thursdays
Adult Aerial.
Beginners
Age 16+, 19:30 - 21:00
Sessions are £15 each but must be booked in a term or half-term block in advance. Tasters available for £20.
An introduction to the fundamentals of aerial. With a focus on a different piece of apparatus (trapeze, rope/silks and sling/hammock) each week, throughout the term students will build strength and learn a range of core skills in a safe, confidence-building environment.
This is a beginners class so no experience is necessary, although some body awareness is helpful e.g. dance/yoga/climbing.
