Friday 11 December - 7pm, Cardigan town centre
Join thousands of spectators for an unforgettable evening of giant illuminated puppets, spectacular lanterns and live music, bringing festive magic to the streets of Cardigan. Free.
A woodland wonderland
This year’s parade celebrates the magic of the forest, with illuminated tree sculptures, extraordinary forest creatures and mysterious plants inspired by the natural world. The theme also shines a light on the importance of protecting and restoring temperate rainforests, some of the UK’s rarest and most precious woodland habitats.
Parade route and timings
The parade sets off from Pendre at 7pm, making its way towards the Quay, accompanied by the vibrant rhythms of Samba Doc and Jake Madhatter.
At around 7.45pm - 8pm, a low-noise fireworks display is planned. The parade will then return along the High Street, before the evening concludes with a lively drumming finale on the steps of Cardigan Guildhall in front of the town’s Christmas tree.
Come early to soak up the festive atmosphere, enjoy the local shops and eateries, and find a good viewing spot along the route.
