After a break and an introduction to the Llais yr Afon project (through an exhibition of local young people’s work and Idris Mathias’ illustrated map) the audience settled in to three pecha kuchas performed by local activist and environmental groups.

Our thanks to Phil Hughes from XR Aberteifi, Callum Firth from Save The Teifi and Joe Wilkins on behalf of West Wales Rivers Trust. Each presented their facts, goals and how to make a positive contribution. They kept to the format brilliantly and in the spirit of entertainment, they graciously accepted the gong.

Trwco was in safe hands with Small World’s patron, Jane Davidson, Chair of Wales Net Zero 2035, ex Welsh Government cabinet minister, author of #futuregen: lessons from a small country and land restorer. Jane chaired the second half. Her knowledge and enthusiasm from the stage brought forth excellent questions from the floor and her observations seamlessly connected the themes of the evening.
